This response involves trapping opponent's hand as he attacks, then quickly converting the motion to an outside bent
wrist lock, driving opponent down to the ground at a 45degree angle back from his right shoulder, reinforcing the maneuver with a side kick or reap to the back of his right knee. Closeup of the setup shows
the importance of thumb positioning in converting the trapping motion into a wrist lock. Likewise, for added power, the other hand can assist the maneuver, in effect snapping opponent's wrist as he is being
dropped to the ground. |
