Some of these lessons are new, some are updated versions of previously published articles on fundamental martial arts issues, and some are presented to demonstrate how technique ultimately
integrates into a cohesive flow (see Self Defense). Together, they
illustrate the broad diversity of martial arts concepts and applications, and will help you set your own path and goals for study and growth. The objective is to
broaden your understanding of the basics, and leave you with new ideas on how to incorporate that uderstanding into advanced technique. This section will be
expanding over time, as contributions are submitted, and perhaps even as I gain new insights of my own.
Warning: Martial arts, like any rigorous course of activity, presents the risk of injury, sometimes serious, disabling, or even fatal. It should only be undertaken
under the direct supervision of a Black Belt instructor, and only after you have been cleared by your personal physician. |
